Tired of fighting your steering? Tired of the constant swaying back and forth? We have the fix for you! Introducing our 95-00 (Old Body Style ONLY) UPPER Steering Shaft. This is the upper shaft that connects to the column (back of the steering wheel) and goes through the firewall. These replace a coupler instead with the same great design our lower offers. Direct bolt in piece.
***IF NOT PAIRED WITH OUR LOWER THE STEERING WHEEL COULD POTIENTALLY BE OFF 90 DEGREES ON SOME MODELS***
NOTE - Black Shafts are a Black Oxide Coating for a rust preventative. It is more of a flat black.

Bought both upper and lower shaft for my old gal. The sloppy steering is gone! I have the original steering gear with 188k miles on it.

Excellent
Surprised at how much of a difference this upper, intermediate, and lower combo made. Much reduced play (if any at all) in the steering. I replaced everything except the relay rod in the steering system before doing this mod; should have done it sooner. Easier to predict steering rotation in slides. No interference with ls swap or other components. No issue bolting to borgeson box. No discernible increase in vibrationn. I did not reuse the plastic shield/cover on the steering box end. I wrapped tape on the upper shaft where it interfaces with the boot to get a better seal since the oem shaft was round with a plastic sheath in that area. Installation was very easy. All slipped together perfectly. Really impressed with the results. Great upgrade.

Perfect Fit
Fit absolutely perfectly, if there’s any increase in vibration it’s so minuscule I couldn’t event notice it. A must have for any OBS in my opinion.

Had trouble figuring things out with both pieces the shop answered my questions and helped me out. I have better turning than with the rag joint.

Part arrived quickly the stub that the was squashed a little ai I had to file some material off it the new shaft then went on easily

Upper half and lower half steering shaft
I previously posted about my steering wheel being 90° off after installing the upper and lower shafts. That is due to me installing the lower shaft to factory placement, not knowing the Cunningham machine lower half is 360° adjustable on the splines.Thank you Cunningham Machine for reaching out to me and explaining this to my big country dumb a%!. That kind of customer service is far and few between these days. Quality and service is top notch you will not be disappointed! My 96 with 356k on the dial now handles better than it did new. THANK YOU CUNNINGHAM MACHINE!! Expect many more orders from me.
