Tired of fighting your steering? Tired of the constant swaying back and forth? We have the fix for you! Introducing our 88-94 (Old Body Style ONLY) Steering Shafts. Eliminate that worn out rag joint with a U-joint. Simply unbolt your steering shaft and put this one in its place for an all new driving experience.
Also fit the 1994-1996 Impala SS cars.
NOTE - Black Shafts are a Black Oxide Coating for a rust preventative. It is more of a flat black. Some maybe powder coated black depending on how we get material in.

A Must-Have
Cunningham Machine makes a spectacular solution to a very unnecessary design flaw. How do you get an easily serviced, smooth, safe drive shaft? GM used a rubber disk, a solid half-shaft, a telescoping half-shaft, and a universal joint. This gave the OBS soft steering at best and dangerously sloppy steering at worst. The folks at CM did it with a telescopic shaft with two(2) universal joints, machined beautifully, and in my case, beautifully finished. The untrained eye wouldn’t know it from stock. The devil is in the details, though, and this truck now have tighter steering than its more modern cousins.

OBS steering shaft
Nice unit and well built. Would have preferred OEM style fastening at each end (through bolts) rather than set screws but with blue thread locker the set screws should hold ok.

Perfect for deleting sloppy rag joints
So far, good quality. The universal joint takes out all of the slop from the rag joint. Came well packaged and had a hand signed thank you note.
