Well made, great fit; set screws may need improvement
The shaft is well built and fits without modifications. It has definitely improved my steering feel over the stock shaft. I'm a little concerned about the set screws used. The stock shaft uses a pinch bolt at the gearbox, where as this design uses a large set screw. The gearbox shaft, though, doesn't really have a good groove for a set screw to bite and may lead to loosening or premature wear. I may have to mod for this. Also, the bolt hole at the steering wheel male end is larger than the machine bolt provided in the u-joint. The provided bolt does not have shoulders, meaning that the threads are bearing the rotational force and the u-joint design doesn't allow for a bolt/nut combo, so there is no pinching force to help share the load. Here also, I'm concerned the design may create wear over time.

88-94 steering shaft
Great piece… 2 things to consider though. You guys really need to include a small instruction sheet. I was unaware if any loc-tire was used on any of the set screws and I was unaware that the set screw at the steering box is supposed ti go in the groove of the shaft not the flat of the shaft. Please make a small instruction sheet for your product!
