This is a replacement seal for the GMT400 pickup truck third brake light. By now, the factory seal has gotten old, dry-rotted, and crumbling. This is a way to replace it instead of dealing with water leaks that could potentially ruin your headliner.
What you are buying is a part I designed and produce using the 3D printing process. If you are reading this you already know GM does not sell this part any longer, and it's possible you spent quite a while trying to find the original foam replacement. This is a 3D-printed part, and it may have minor cosmetic imperfections. It will fully function for the job it has been designed to do.
Ensure the mating surfaces are both clean of debris and grime to ensure the best seal possible.
These are designed to fit all 3 cab configurations that fit the years listed.
RETURNS / DEFECTS POLICY
I don’t take general returns since these are small-batch printed (I make them one at a time), but if there’s a legitimate manufacturing defect with the gasket itself that I overlooked, I’ll absolutely make it right. Each one is printed and checked by me personally the exact same way before it goes out.
Most of the common leak issues come from variables outside the gasket (small cracks in the housing that aren’t visible, uneven mating surfaces, old sealant residue, etc.). As long as the surfaces are cleaned properly, the housing is intact, and the screws are tightened down evenly, these seal extremely well.
