LS Fabrication's "Gate Saver" or Tailgate Assist Shock/Strut – 1982-2004 Chevy S10 Truck adds a little bit of modern luxury to your truck. The "Gate Saver" is an easy install and addition to the tailgate of your 82-04 S10 truck.
The LS Fab Tailgate Assist for Chevy and GM trucks slows the tailgate opening action. This allows your tailgate to open freely without slamming after unlatching.
*This Gate saver requires the removal of Driver side metal tailgate strap on the 82-93 and remain off or we have the option to install our 82-93 Tailgate Cables.
Our Tailgate Assist Shock/Strut kit includes:

- ✅ 2x balls studs
- ✅ Jam nut for an easy install.
- ✅ Easy to follow instructions for a quick installation!
NOTE: Box liners, tailgate caps, excessive body work, and / or anything adding weight to tailgate will affect the rate of fall on tailgate.
